HMS Belfast was launched in 1938 and served in both the Second World War and the Korean War. She saw action during Arctic Convoys to the Soviet Union, at the battle of North Cape (where the Scharnhorst was sunk) and supporting allied landing on D-Day and during the battle for Normandy.
