This film has been produced to immortalise the Anglo-Russian project that succeeded in the 65th year since the Peace of 1945 in the replacement of both the masts of HMS Belfast by Russian engineers using Russian steel and Russian sponsorship.
A project undertaken in recognition of her service escorting convoys to Russia on the "Kola Run" between 1942-1944.
This film is dedicated to the enduring memory of all those Russian and Allied men and women, civil and military, who served in the epic campaign to maintain the Arctic supply route against attack by submarines, aircraft and surface raiders and the greatest enemy of all, the Sea.
